My Employment Passport’s Silver programme became available in March 2022 with Richard having revised the current content and added new material in the previous nine months. The Silver programme, embraced by a small number of schools and day service provisions (including one in Ireland), saw an expansion of the programme from twelve modules to thirty. Running in parallel with the initiative, Richard made available the Building My Learning activity in partnership with Skillsbuilder (https://www.skillsbuilder.org/impact-directory) and the set of 15 A3 Raising Aspirations posters as standalone resources.

If you would like to run the Silver programme, please contact Richard and he will give you a price outline based on the number of young people you would like to take part.

“We were delighted to run the My Employment Passport’s Silver programme earlier this year. In 2018, Richard ran an early version of the course at our Day Service provision in Tunbridge Wells. I was aware that it was working well in schools in nearby Hastings and was keen to see how it would benefit our members with a much older age profile. In our group the youngest member was 21 and the oldest was 35. The course was a great success. Whilst everybody gained enormous benefit from watching the videos, I was particularly impressed how we could adapt the printed materials and session plans to suit those who had virtually no reading and writing and who, understandably, had considerably higher support needs than our members with quite advanced literacy skills.

On completing the course, two of our members moved into positions of permanent, part-time employment, jobs they both still have.”
